US NHC:Storm Sys Near Barbados May Become Tropical Depression: "A broad area of low pressure located near Barbados could develop into a tropical depression, The U.S. National Hurricane Center reported Thursday evening. The NHC said environmental conditions seem conducive for further development, adding the system could become a tropical depression Wednesday evening or Thursday. The system is moving to the west at between 20 and 25 mph, and is bringing heavy rains and gusty winds to the Windward Islands. A second storm system in the southwestern Caribbean is poorly organized, but may become a tropical depression before it reaches Central America in the next day or so. Heavy rains and gusty winds are likely over areas of Nicaragua and Honduras Thursday."
