Chance of Caribbean Storm Developing Gets Downgraded by Center

BusinessWeek: "July 5 (Bloomberg) -- The chances of a weather system that’s causing locally heavy rainfall over the western Caribbean developing into a tropical storm were downgraded today by the U.S. National Hurricane Center.
The Miami-based center said in its latest advisory there was a 40 percent possibility of the system near the Cayman Islands and Yucatan Peninsula becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours compared with 50 percent in an earlier statement."
