Kaieteur News: "Just a few days after issuing a wanted bulletin for him, police have captured ex-soldier Keron Hebert, who is a suspect in the murders of Bartica gold dealers, Jainarine Raghubar and Ramdeo Deonarine.
Kaieteur News understands that the 24-year-old Hebert was nabbed yesterday in Garnett Street Campbellville. He was on a motorcycle when police were closing in on him.

Tropical depression forms west of Jamaica

A generally north-northeastward motion with some increase in forward speed is expected over the next day or two. On the forecast track, the centre of the tropical cyclone will cross Cuba tonight and be near southeastern Florida by tomorrow afternoon. However, in this case, most of the strong winds and heavy rains are occurring a couple hundred miles to the east and southeast of the centre."

Kaieteur News: "Government is yet to pay millions of dollars owed to the Guyana Elections Commission—GECOM —for contractual services that were procured by the entity in preparations for Local Government Election.

Several persons who provided catering services to GECOM are yet to be paid, along with contracted drivers who were paraded in the media are appealing to the relevant authorities to delve into their matter since they allege that they worked for months and have also not received any payment to date.

Dominica mother detained in killing of 2 daughters
Taiwan News Online: "Police in the eastern Caribbean island of Dominica say a mother has stabbed her two young daughters to death.
Police spokesman Claude Weekes said Friday that the 23-year-old woman has not yet been charged in the killing of 2-month-old Sophie Vigilante and 5-year-old Rachel Vigilante. Her own full name was not released.
Weekes says she is under police custody at the island's main hospital, where she is being treated for cuts to her wrist. He declined to say whether she had attempted to commit suicide.
