Shot youth attacked police


The Barbados Nation The St Michael youth David Lynch, who was shot by police on Wednesday had attacked one of the officers with a cutlass to prevent his apprehension.
Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch also dismissed family claims that police never informed them about the 16-year-old's whereabouts following the incident.
Welch said after Lynch was treated and discharged for the gunshot injury to his upper left thigh, he was taken to District “A:” Police Station, where he was detained for questioning in connection with a number of serious criminal matters.
