Man arrested in Calgary extradited to Barbados over murder cases

Calgary Herald "CALGARY — Eight months after hurriedly leaving Barbados to visit his father in Calgary, fugitive Damian Reveira has been extradited back to the island nation.

The 25-year-old had been building new homes in Calgary with his dad since he arrived in October 2010, but while at a new home construction site in Killarney last week, Calgary police arrested the man.

He was flown back to Barbados on Tuesday and police there say he will be charged with first-degree murder in two shooting deaths.

His father, Hubert Reveira, is still trying to come to grips with the sudden development."
