Verbal salvos between government and opposition over oil agreement

CANA "CASTRIES, St. Lucia, CMC - The opposition Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) and the United Workers Party (UWP) government continued to trade verbal salvos Friday even as the prime minister pleaded with his predecessor to help the government get out of a deal with a controversial and notoriously litigious American oil developer.

In the latest development, the SLP accused the government of seeking to launch legal proceedings against the Opposition Leader and former prime minister Dr. Kenny Anthony for signing the Grynberg agreement in 2000."
