video--Homicide near complex- March 20th 2013

One woman is dead after a serious altercation with another woman on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred in the Castries Fisheries Complex on the John Compton highway. Dead is 49-year-old Anne Fortune of Conway Castries.
The mother of two was stabbed under her breast and succumbed to her injuries shortly after being taken to the Victoria Hospital. One woman is presently in police custody assisting police with their investigations.

Cheating' wife freed of murder of musician Carlton 'family man' Barrett -

 JamaicaObserver.com: "ALBERTINE Barrett, widow of Carlton Barrett, a former drummer in Bob Marley's Wailers Band, was on October 18, 1991, jailed for seven years along with the two men charged with her for conspiracy to murder her husband.
Carlton Barrett was a well-known musician on the dancehall circuit at the time of his death. He was gunned down at his gate at 12 Bridgemount Park Avenue, Kingston 8 about 9:30 pm on April 17, 1987."


Chavez deified

 Amandala Newspaper: "Venezuela president Hugo Chávez Frías, 58, lost his two-year battle with cancer at 4:25 Tuesday evening and today, Friday, millions of mourners are expected to attend his state funeral in Caracas. Chavez won’t be buried in the dust; neither will he be cremated. Instead, his body is to be embalmed for permanent display at the Museum of Revolution, according to his interim successor, Venezuelan vice president Nicolás Maduro."
