Homosexuality penalised by prison or death in 11 Caribbean countries


Thinkspain ELEVEN countries in Latin America and the Caribbean penalise homosexuality with up to 10 years in jail – or in some cases, the death penalty.
This information has come to light during the EU-Latin America Summit meeting, which Spain is attending.
According to the head of Human Rights for Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Juan Duarte, there is also an alarming death-toll among men and women who have same-sex relationships, even in countries where this is legal.
