 USA Today  "The storm was centered about 45 miles north-northwest of Barbados around 8 a.m. EDT Tuesday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said. The storm had maximum sustained winds near 50 mph, and was moving west-northwest at 26 mph. Chantal was expected to move over the small islands on the eastern rim of the Caribbean early Tuesday and be near the Dominican Republic on Wednesday, according to the Hurricane Center."

The search for 20 year old Ronnie Wilson of Cabiche Babonneau is over. Family members and close friends identified a decomposing body found on Sunday as Ronnie Walter. The body was found near the Babonneau Secondary School late Sunday afternoon by a search party which refused to give up hope in finding the missing man.

USA Today  "MIAMI (AP) — Tropical Storm Chantal is racing toward the Lesser Antilles after forming in the Atlantic. The storm's maximum sustained winds as of late afternoon Monday are near 45 mph, with some strengthening expected over the next two days."

 Kaieteur News : "A brave young policeman narrowly escaped death when he was stabbed below his left side jaw with a broken bottle by notorious criminal suspect, Jermaine Jerrick. Jerrick had staged a daring breakout from the Cove and John Police Station lock-ups on the East Coast of Demerara, early yesterday morning."

Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday  "It was a bloody Friday night in the Port-of-Spain Division as two men were killed and six others injured in two separate incidents along Tragarete Road and East Dry River."
