Rowley: I’ll take jail

Ex-Guatemala President extradited to US :

Kaieteur News : "AP) Ex-Guatemalan President Alfonso Portillo was extradited yesterday to the United States to face charges of laundering $70 million in Guatemalan funds through U.S. bank accounts. The former president was taken from a military hospital where he was recovering from liver surgery and a heart condition and put on a plane, according to his lawyer Mauricio Berreondo. He said the plane was bound for New York after a stop in Miami."

Man Attempts To Set Woman On Fire

Antigua Observer Newspaper : "St. John’s Antigua- Police are on the hunt for a Bendals man who allegedly attempted to set his ex-girlfriend on fire in the pre-dawn hours of Thursday. According to reports reaching OBSERVER media, the woman awoke in her Browne’s Avenue home to find her ex partner hovering over her."

57 year old Bertrand Grant was found hanging in his home on Thursday. The gruesome discovery was made by Grant's caretaker during the Thursday morning. One family member says he believes Grant may have taken his life.
