The Vincentian : "Up to Thursday, December 27, there were 28 homicides for the year, compared to 20 over the same period last year. The toll was pushed to 28 last Sunday, December 23, following the death of three men. The bodies of Ezra Matthews 38, of Petit Bordel and Bernard Ollivierre 40 of Vermont, both farmers, were discovered with bullet wounds, in the Morne Ronde mountains at the North Leeward district shortly after 1 p.m. last Sunday. The body of Clive Bernard Coe had multiple dog bites to the face, arms and right leg. According to police, near Coe’s body were two Fila Brasileiro dogs when a co-worker discovered him. It was almost as if the dogs were guarding the body, standing over him on opposite sides, facing each other."
