Grant, according to the Crown, was one of four men allegedly gunned down at a dance which was in progress at 34 Worrell Crescent in Maverley, St Andrew, by a gang of men."

The event was located at 14.25°N and 60.47°W. The magnitude was 3.9 and the depth 78km. There were felt reports from the islands of Saint Vincent and Saint Lucia. "


28 Homicides

The Vincentian : "Up to Thursday, December 27, there were 28 homicides for the year, compared to 20 over the same period last year.

The toll was pushed to 28 last Sunday, December 23, following the death of three men.

The bodies of Ezra Matthews 38, of Petit Bordel and Bernard Ollivierre 40 of Vermont, both farmers, were discovered with bullet wounds, in the Morne Ronde mountains at the North Leeward district shortly after 1 p.m. last Sunday. The police reportedly came across the bodies, acting on information received."

Transactional sex — one of the riskiest forms of sexual encounters involving the exchange of gifts or money for sexual intimacy — was cited in the report as being especially high among young Jamaican men and women between 15 and 24 years old, who are in both live-in and non-cohabiting relationships."

Kenroy Marshall, who has been a person of interest in the murder of two Dominicans, ran from police as officers were escorting him off a flight from Montserrat, where he had just been located. He is described as tall, dark and slim."

 Kaieteur News: "A major section of the East Coast Demerara village of Plaisance is mourning the slaying of popular shopkeeper Derrick Cox who was shot dead by bandits on Saturday night.

Robert Allan Gladden, 16, a student of Marage Road, Ladyville; Raheem Requeña, 19, of Plues Street; and Reynaldo Garrido, 14, of East Canal, were shot in three different locations in the city within a span of two hours, between 6:45 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19."

The dead men have been identified as Troy “Yankee” Hernandez, 26, of Carlton Lane in San Fernando and Antonio Motoo, 22, of Ramsaran Street, San Fernando. Hernandez was shot in his chest and back and was pronounced dead on arrival at SFGH.

The body of Clive Bernard Coe had multiple dog bites to the face, arms and right leg.

According to police, near Coe’s body were two Fila Brasileiro dogs when a co-worker discovered him. It was almost as if the dogs were guarding the body, standing over him on opposite sides, facing each other."

Dr Rachel Turner, 30, an academic from Hertfordshire, and Diane Davies, 63, a retired teacher from Anglesey, were forced to waive their anonymity as rape victims and even helped organise the defence costs of the accused man, Barbadian Derick Crawford, to prevent what they believed would have been a "terrible miscarriage of justice"."

Baby Jinayah was viciously attacked at about 2 am on Sunday by a man who bit her on the left side of her cheek and the right side of her leg after he complained to her mother that he was hungry and there was no food in the house. "

By legally funneling profits from overseas subsidiaries into Bermuda, which doesn’t have a corporate income tax, Google cut its overall tax rate almost in half. The amount moved to Bermuda is equivalent to about 80 percent of Google’s total pretax profit in 2011"
