The lawman, who deals with gangs in the United States and is currently in Barbados, said people needed to accept there was indeed gang activity in the island.
He said parents need to take this issue seriously and monitor their children.
'Some people still believe in the old Barbados, but they need to recognise the country is changing. This is 2010 and they need to get with the programme."
