Bakr properties for auction block

Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday "ATTORNEY General Anand Ramlogan yesterday made clear his intention to recover $32 million awarded as damages to the State from the Jamaat al Muslimeen for the 1990 failed coup.

The sum was awarded last September by High Court Justice Rajendra Narine, after the Privy Council blocked attempts by Bakr to avoid paying. Bakr has properties in La Puerta Lands, Diego Martin comprising five acres and a building where Anisa Abu Bakr lives and to which Bakr has half a share.
