Dead teen’s siblings fear fever

Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday "EVEN as relatives of a 14-year-old boy, suspected to have contracted the dengue fever, awaited autopsy results yesterday they appealed for help to assist them with arrangements for his funeral.

Sherwin Bando, nicknamed Christ, of Hillview Drive, Morne Wash, near Williamsville, died on Sunday morning at the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH), days after he was admitted with symptoms similar to that of the deadly fever.

His grieving sister Nisha Bando, 12, said yesterday Sherwin had returned home after a heavy downpour last Tuesday and went to bed. Later in the day, he began to vomit blood and stopped eating. He was a remedial student of Williamsville Secondary School.
