Igor Shies Away from Caribbean; Julia Now a Hurricane

About.com "As predicted, Hurricane Igor has started to move west-northwest on a track that would steer this Category 4 storm away from the Caribbean -- but could have it pointed toward Bermuda. The storm now has winds of about 135 mph and remains hundreds of miles from land.
Meanwhile, Julia has grown from a tropical storm to a Category 1 hurricane in the far eastern Atlantic, with winds of 75 mph. Hurricane Julia is still far from the Caribbean region and is currently no threat to land, but we'll see what happens with her over the next few days.
