$33M for Clico investors

Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday "Government’s bailout plan for those who invested in Colonial Life Insurance Company has begun and close to $33 million has been paid to owners of the Executive Flexible Premium Annuity (EFPA) contracts valued at $75,000 or less.

The Ministry of Finance made this declaration in a brief statement issued yesterday afternoon, saying the multi-million dollar payment represented 1,053 payees, with 350 persons receiving money daily since processing began on March 10.
