Storm cancelled flights to resume today

Antigua Observer Newspaper : ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Scores of passengers are leaving Antigua today, a day later than scheduled after dozens of flights were either cancelled or delayed yesterday as Tropical Storm Irene passed south of the country with wind gusts of 45 mph.
The VC Bird International Airport, which was closed early Sunday morning, re-opened at 2:30 pm. Earlier, scores of passengers had crowded the terminal hoping to secure a seat on outgoing flights.
