Kaieteur News: "Bharrat Jagdeo, the outgoing President has declared that today is the day when over 470,000 registered and eligible Guyanese will go to the polls to vote for a new Head of State and Government.
All systems have been cleared to go and up to press time the blank ballot papers were being stored at strategic points around the country and under armed police protection.
