CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. ( CBSNewYork/AP ) — A possible motive has been revealed in the vicious murder of a Brooklyn mother. Leah Cuevas, of Brooklyn, faced a judge Thursday. She is charged in the alleged killing and dismemberment of a woman whose body parts were found scattered around Long Island earlier this month.
A brazen, but foiled robbery attempt was made at a leading hotel property. Gunmen reportedly invaded the hotel property and held one employee at gun point hoping to rob the accounting department. Police have reportedly nabbed three men who they believe were involved in the incident.
