As the Caribbean continues to grapple with controlling the spread of HIV/AIDS, seemingly without much success, St. Kitts/Nevis leader has come up with a very bold and dramatic approach which he thinks would be effective in stymieing the pandemic.

Prime Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas recently led a Caribbean delegation to the 16th annual conference of HIV/AIDS which was held in Toronto from 13 18 Aug.

In one of the presentations he delivered as the chair of the Pan Caribbean Partnership Against HIV/AIDS (PANCAP) and as Caricoms lead spokesman on health issues, including HIV/AIDS, the PM alluded to the idea that legalising homosexuality and prostitution could help to stem the epidemic. "
