SUN Weekend---There will be life after sugar

Sunday August 20 2006

Corliss Smithen

The closure of the sugar industry, which has been the mainstay of the islands economy for centuries, has prompted Dr. Timothy Harris to organise a series of public programmes to inform his constituents of the opportunities available.
The third in the series of the public education was held on Wednesday night at the Violet Petty Primary School at Lodge Project.
Dr. Harris, the minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade, Industry and Commerce, told the audience that the town hall meetings are planned and organized with you the public in mind. "
