Stabroek News: "GTUC plans protest at Republic Bank over firing of workers

The Guyana Trades Union Congress (GTUC) will hold a protest tomorrow in front of Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited, Water Street in relation to the recent dismissal of six bank employees.
The GTUC yesterday said the protest action was planned for tomorrow between 11 am and midday. The trade union grouping said that it would be making a statement during the protest, which would see the attendance of the fired employees. Several other unions have joined the call for the bank to be held accountable for its recent actions. "
