CARIBBEAN SCHOOLS NEED NEW MODEL OF DISCIPLINE

Advocate: "This new model must address six important steps. These include: promoting appropriate classroom management; implementing discipline codes across the schools; ensuring that these disciplinary codes are strictly enforced; instituting various programmes that tackle bad behaviours; finding alternative placements for illdisciplined students; and having all the stakeholders from parents and teachers to religious organisations and the general public, working together to promote and support good behavioural practices in children.
