Wife/baby killer gets 20 years

Trinidad Newsday A MAN who killed his estranged wife and one-year-old son in Diego Martin five years ago, escaped the hangman when the Court of Appeal yesterday ordered that he serve 20 years in prison.

Peter Cadette was sentenced to hang by Justice Anthony Carmona in the Port-of-Spain Fourth Criminal Court on November 30, 2005 for the murders of his wife Grace Barbour-Cadette, and their son, Jabari. Mother and son were chopped to death at upper Roxborough Street, Diego Martin, on March 10, 2002.
