SUN St.Kitts & Nevis: "With news of the impending tropical storm, some citizens did not leave anything up to chance and began taking the warning seriously. “We had an unusually high amount of traffic in the stores today and most of them (shoppers) were stocking up on emergency supplies, such as candles, flashlights and batteries as well as water boots. Several persons also bought lumber, probably to board up their windows and doors,” a manager at TDC Home and Building Depot said. Residents were also seen stocking up on food supplies and supermarkets extended their opening hours up to half an hour after the usual closing time. "
