PROSECUTION FAILS … AS MURDER ACCUSED SET FREE

Antigua Sun: "The 17-year-old youth charged with the murder of a 10-year-old TN Kirnon schoolgirl, walked away from the St. John’s Magistrate’s Court a free man yesterday, after the case against him was thrown out by the magistrate. One year after the brutal murder the police were still not ready to proceed with the matter, and had asked the court for an adjournment, citing that the director of public prosecution was off island. The prosecutors were informed by Chief Magistrate Maureen Payne Hyman that the matter would proceed yesterday, as she was not inclined to grant another adjournment"
