The Bahama Journal: "For months, his fate was uncertain, but on Tuesday, murder convict Ian Hutchinson walked out of the Supreme Court after escaping the death penalty for the 2005 murder of his girlfriend. Justice Jon Isaacs sentenced him to life in prison.
It was a decision that apparently satisfied the ex-cop, who, despite being shackled and handcuffed had a smile plastered across his face as several officers escorted him out of the court.
His family members and lead attorney, Murrio Ducille, were by his side.
