Advocate: "Government has promised to introduce a Food Security Policy, which will seek to lower the cost of basic foods, and is also promising to liberalise the distribution sectors.
According to acting Governor General, His Excellency, the Honourable Elliot Belgrave, this food security policy which will fall under the purview of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, will also provide the country with the means by which to feed itself for an extended period of time in the event of natural or other disaster."
