SUN St.Kitts & Nevis: "The Taiwanese ambassador made it clear yesterday that his country has no intention of being involved in local politics or to interfere with the internal affairs of St. Kitts/Nevis.
Ambassador John K. Liu of the Republic of China (Taiwan) made those statements at a press conference to address the issue of the ambassador residing in a house owned by Prime Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas.
The matter was raised at a press conference a few weeks ago when the editor of the Democrat newspaper asked the prime minister if he was renting a house he owned to the Taiwan ambassador. PM Douglas responded by saying that the time of the question was inappropriate bordering on disrespectful."
