The Nation Newspaper "THE CONTRACTOR whose complaint indirectly led to a strike by workers at the Sanitation Service Authority (SSA) last week, says he wants what's owed him.
Acting general manager of the SSA, Stanton Alleyne, was fired last week and SSA workers walked off the job in protest after contractor Andrew Thomas produced cheques that led to allegations of the breach of the Prevention of Corruption Act against Alleyne.
Alleyne was reinstated on Friday and workers went back on the job, but Thomas says his main focus now is to recover over $74 000 owed to him by the Government statutory corporation."
