Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday "DIRECTOR of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Geoffrey Henderson has applied to the High Court to have a judge reconsider the issue of whether former PNM Energy Minister Eric Williams should be committed to stand trial on seven corruption charges.
Newsday has learnt that Henderson lodged an application under Section 23 (5) of the Indictable Offences (Preliminary Inquiries) Act on the afternoon of June 30, the legal deadline for his office to do so. Williams is currently a member of the ruling PNM Government’s Research Committee."
