The Minister of Commerce and Investment says his dismissal of the NDC Board had nothing to do with resigned Minister Ausbert D’Auvergne. Bousquet had been most vociferous in calling for that resignation. D’Auvergne was the Minister of Economic Planning with responsibility for the NDC. That statutory board became part of the redefined Commerce Ministry under Bousquet. The Minister says he dismissed the Board because of convention not malice.
