PM Manning visits five countries in 36 hours

Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday "PRIME MINISTER Patrick Manning today kick-starts a whirlwind tour of the Caribbean which will see him visit five countries, travel approximately 6,000 miles, spend more than 13 hours in a private jet, costing about $680,000 in his bid to woo regional leaders to join his latest effort at regional integration.
The Prime Minister was expected to depart at about 6am on a private jet with a delegation including Foreign Affairs Minister Paula Gopee-Scoon. Over the next 36 hours he will visit the Bahamas, Belize, Jamaica, Haiti and Suriname. He is due to return on Tuesday evening, officials at the Prime Minister’s Office said yesterday."
