The Jamaica Observer THE Appeal Court yesterday handed down a ruling that will effectively keep the Jamaica Labour Party's (JLP's) Daryl Vaz in Parliament, at least until November, when his appeal against his disqualification from the House will be heard.
"I could not be happier (with the ruling)," Vaz said after the Appeal Court opted not to strike out his appeal against the April 11, 2008 ruling by Chief Justice Zaila McCalla in the Supreme Court that he could not sit in the Parliament because of his dual nationality.
