Freed killers go after big bucks


The Trinidad Guardian Seven killers, who were freed last year after being unlawfully detained, are going after the State, seeking millions of dollars in compensation for being kept behind bars without justification.
In one instance, one of the men is seeking $5 million in damages. If he is awarded this sum, it will create history in the Commonwealth as there is no case upon which the local courts can seek assistance.
