The Antigua Sun The Ministry of Health has denied reports that the country has recorded 30 cases of dengue fever since the passage of the strong weather associated with the passing of Hurricane Omar through the region.
“While it is true that the incidence of dengue fever may increase in areas where water stagnate (mosquito breeding sites), there is a ten-day incubation period for the dengue virus in the vector – the Aedes Egypti mosquito before it can infect humans,” a press release from the Ministry of Health stated yesterday.Full Story
