Despite an overall downward trend, figures compiled by the Research and Planning Department in the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) disclose an increase in the murder rate and a major increase in crimes against property.
However, those figures also show the level of crime overall has seen a decrease between January 1 and October 21 this year as compared to the same period last year.
