Bird says corruption 'gone mad' in Antigua

Antigua Sun: "Political Leader of the Antigua Labour Party (ALP) Lester Bird was endorsed by the members of his party amid a large crowd, which gathered at the Clare Hall Square on Thursday evening. Bird’s colleagues spoke very well of him while urging supporters to vote for him on election day.

“I would like to tell everyone here tonight to vote for Lester Bryant Bird, he is the man whose heart is on fire with love for the people, this country and constituency,” Bird told his supporters.

While addressing the gathering, Bird said corruption has “gone mad” in Antigua and since earning power, “the UPP government has done untold damage to the aspirations and hopes of the people of Antigua and Barbuda.”"
