Tough times

JAMAICAOBSERVER.COM: "THE Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) is projecting that the Jamaican economy will experience negative growth in fiscal year 2009/2010, with unemployment levels possibly climbing for the first time in eight years.

The prediction made yesterday by PIOJ Director General Wesley Hughes is the most definitive prediction of gloom for the local economy which has been hit by the worsening global financial crisis."
