Derrick revealed the above information during the United Progressive Party Justice Rally Wednesday evening in St. John’s. The event was held on the corner of Redcliffe and Temple Streets.

“What happened was very wicked, very wicked indeed and I can assure you that some of the names that you have associated with this matter are not the only names involved. There are others who will surprise you,” he said."

Re: Lester Bird And The ALP Sinks To Despicable Depths As Their Day Of Reckoning Draws Nearer

The United Progressive Party (UPP) condemns the defamatory and inflammatory language used by members of the Antigua Labour Party (ALP) on its Platform at meeting of hate held at Thwaites Corner, Thursday night, February 19th, 2009.

The United Progressive Party notes that despite the call from the Christian Council, the Organization of American States Observers, the Clergy the Electoral Commission and other organizations and peace loving people in the State, the ALP continues to wage a campaign of character assassinations, naked hatred, vile, vulgarity and obscenity of the lowest order.

At a time when the Antiguan & Barbudan public thought that the Labour Party politicians could not stoop any lower Asot Michael, Osbert Frederick and others proved the people wrong.

It is unbelievable that persons such as Gail Christian, Max Fernandez, Ronald Maginley and Maureen Hyman-Payne sit in the midst of this cesspool of political grime with such comfort.

The United Progressive Party observes that there seems to be no semblance of decency left in the opposition. The people of Antigua and Barbuda must wonder whether out of fear of others within the party or comfort within themselves all voices of reason seem to be thunderously silent in the Antigua Labour Party.

The United Progressive Party vehemently denounces the vicious, unwarranted and malicious personal attacks on the Honorable Prime Minister, Baldwin Spencer, his wife and his family and other decent law abiding and hardworking citizens of Antigua & Barbuda.

The United Progressive Party calls on the leadership of the Antigua Labour Party (ALP) to immediately put an end to the reckless systematic language of hate, war and turmoil.
