NEW YORK, NEW YORK: Are we nations of cowards?

The Nation Newspaper "'IN THINGS RACIAL we have always been, and I believe continue to be, in too many ways essentially a nation of cowards.'

Eric Holder, United States Attorney-General and the son of Bajan parents, was describing the country which he loves and which he readily acknowledges has given him a unique opportunity to write a new chapter in its history as the first black person to lead the US Justice Department.

Holder, who was born and raised in a black Bajan home in New York City, attended some of the best public schools and gained a law degree from the prestigious Columbia University, knew what he was talking about."
