Scotia Bank employee on theft charge

Dominica News "An employee of Scotia Bank Dominica has been arrested and charged for the alleged theft of $52,470.94 - the property of the bank between July 17, 2007 and December 2008.

Marlon Marie of Check Hall, Massacre appeared before Senior Magistrate Ossie Lewis today on the charge and was granted bail in the sum of EC$30,000.00 with one surety.

He was asked to surrender his travel documents and was also given reporting conditions.

The preliminary inquiry in the matter is set for May 26, 2009. Marie is represented by Attorney-at-law David Bruney."
