No rest for the divorced in Guyana after forgery

The Associated Press: "GEORGETOWN, Guyana (AP) — Dozens of couples in the South American country of Guyana who thought they were divorced have to repeat the process because judges' signatures were forged, authorities said Friday.

Police have opened an investigation after accusations that attorneys forged documents with help from court officials to expedite divorces, police spokesman Seelall Persaud said."
