SWINE FLU ALERT

Nation News "BARBADOS HAS STEPPED UP surveillance at its ports of entry to keep swine flu out.

The Ministry of Health has also advised Barbadians to take the necessary precautions against contracting the disease or spreading it.

Officials also said say Barbados' important pork industry is not under any threat from an outbreak that so far seems to have no connection with pigs and there were no plans for banning imports of pork and pork products."
