Haiti will be hoping it is high on the aid list at the Summit of the Americas in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Obama administration says it wants to help rebuild the country's struggling economy.
But as Teresa Bo reports from Port Au Prince, despite the millions of dollars pledged, most Haitians think the cash won't help them at all.
