Kaieteur News: "ITHACA, WEST BANK BERBICE- Police in Berbice are on the hunt for a man who allegedly slashed the throats of his lover, her daughter and her niece.
Dead is a 31-year old plantain chip vendor, Gertrude Edwards of Lot 282 Ithaca Main Road, West Bank of Berbice.
The dead woman’s daughter, 13-year-old Kerry Edwards, and her niece 16-year-old Samantha Charles are both in the Intensive Care Unit of the New Amsterdam Hospital. Both of them underwent surgery early Friday morning and are said to be in a stable condition."
