Gleaner "All Jamaican women advanced to the next round of competition in the 100m and 800m following the running of the heats in these events this morning at the World Championships in Berlin, Germany.
Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser advanced to the quarterfinals by placing second in the first heat in a time of 11.41.
Kerron Stewart who ran in the second heat won in a time of 11.31.
Veronica Campbell-Brown won her heat in 11.34, while Semoy Hackett of Trinidad also advanced placing third in the said heat while and Sheniqua Ferguson of the Bahamas finished fourth."
