School sex claims uncovered

The Nassau Guardian "Although almost 20 public school employees, including a dozen teachers, have been interdicted, reassigned, fired or forced to resign from their assigned schools amid allegations of sexual abuse of students, the Ministry of Education seems to have lost track of several of them, The Nassau Guardian has exclusively learned.

According to information obtained by The Guardian during a weeks-long investigation into sexual abuse claims against teachers and other school employees, in at least three matters, the ministry seemed to have no idea of the status of the cases of employees charged with sex crimes. The information was circulated among the hierarchy of the Ministry of Education earlier this year."
