Prison Services officials refuse to transport prisoner to hospital; magistrate finds them in contempt of court

Dominica News Online "Chief Magistrate Evelina Baptiste has expressed her frustration at the Prison Services for failing to comply with an order of the court.

Magistrate Baptiste said that the superintendent of prison Algernon Charter and the assistant superintendent Dennis Blanc are in contempt of court since the prison would not transport a prisoner to the Princess Margaret Hospital to seek medical attention."
