Sun St. Kitts : "Approximately 2:55 a.m. last Friday, at the Frigate Bay Beach Strip, police on duty as well as those off duty recognised that there was an altercation, which they suspected to be a gang fight. Bottles and stones were being thrown.
The police intervened to break up the altercation and a 17-year-old young man attacked and wounded a police officer on his head.
The wounded police officer discharged a round from his service pistol and wounded his attacker in his left abdomen."
